Amy holds a B.A. in Dance Performance from University of Maryland Baltimore County. She completed her Pilates certification in 2008 and has been teaching ever since. She continues to incorporate new research and a variety of somatic-based approaches into her classes and private sessions. These include Body Mind Centering, the Alexander Technique, Yoga, and meditation. She received her teaching certificate in Embodied Anatomy & Yoga in 2016 and has studied with a variety of physical therapists and medical professionals since 2012.
Amy specializes in integrative strength-building for and pre- & post-natal populations. In particular, she focuses on Diastasis Recti repair for postpartum women. She combines an intuitive somatic approach with anatomically-based insight to alleviate joint pain, rebalance movement patterns, and develop strength from the inside, out.
